Karissa graduated magna cum laude from Sewanee: The University of the South with a BA in Theatre (honors), a BA in English and a minor in Dance. She then moved to New York City to continue acting training in Manhattan.
Karissa’s debut children’s book, “Reveal of the Royal Puppy,” inspired by her beloved morkie, Chai Rose, is out now everywhere books are sold! She also hosts the HANG ON, SIS! podcast available on Spotify and Apple! As a former titleholder within the Miss America Organization, Karissa continues to advocate for arts education and teaches acting, dance and voice to adults and children alike.
Karissa is represented by BoldLine Entertainment, and has enjoyed working professionally both theatrically and commercially.
